Hi, I am Linnell ...

My love affair with the camera began when I was only eight years old! That was the Christmas that I received my first camera! I started taking pictures of everything and modeling for my parents whenever I could. In high school, I purchased my first Canon SLR and my first DSLR several years later.

While I enjoyed documenting life around me, I was not very focused on photography until Spring 2018. That’s when I bought my first Sony mirrorless camera and took a photography class. I fell in love again and realized that my passion is documenting maternity, newborn, boudoir, and empowering women. While in my photography class, I relearned how to use a camera and took pictures of anything that piqued my interest - from couples arm wrestling or playing at a park to landscapes and Fresh 48 (the first 48 hours of life). Then my world fell apart and I set the camera down.

July 2018, I was diagnosed with Stage IIIC Metastatic Inflammatory Breast Cancer. I underwent 6 rounds of chemo, a bilateral mastectomy with lymph node removal, 33 rounds of radiation, and a hysterectomy. During chemotherapy, the only camera I picked up was my cell phone. A few days before my mastectomy, I was able to do a boudoir shoot. For the first time since my diagnosis, I felt truly beautiful, especially once I got to see the pictures. This inspired me to pick up my camera again and help other women experience the same magic.

Before my mastectomy, I was lucky enough to be able to do a boudoir session with Don Hales in Denver. He made me feel absolutely beautiful for the first time since my diagnosis. And that was just seeing the photos on the back of the camera! When I got to see the edited product, I was stunned!

I started to really focus on photography after I finished radiation - I was determined to get my power back! In May 2019, I started doing wedding photography in Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park while continuing to work with my Art & Soul Design Studios clients.

In 2021, I started doing boudoir photography. I remembered how empowered Don Hales had made me feel and I wanted to create that feeling for my clients. I love seeing the look on their faces when they see themselves how I see them!

Your session is all about empowering you and showing you how incredibly beautiful you are!

My goal as a photographer is to give you an amazing experience! From the first time you contact me, I want to get to know you and what your needs are for our session. I am going to make sure you are prepared for our session and feeling confident. During our session, my goal is to have as much fun as possible with you and to help you feel relaxed and comfortable. This will help your photos turn out amazing! Most of my clients and I develop long-term friendships.

My favorite thing about being a photographer is empowering women through boudoir, maternity, fresh 48, and newborn sessions. I also cherish being able to capture special occasions, and most importantly, being a part of the love story of your big day!

I look forward to working with you and your family to capture the moment and treasure the memories!
